Welcome to The Well-Mannered Librarian. My name is Terri Bogan and this blog is an online salon, of sorts, where I reflect and ponder primarily about librarianship and the role of information in society. In true salon fashion, I welcome conversation so please feel free to comment.

I’m an instruction librarian at a private university in Southern California and have been professionally involved in the library world since 1991. I have been a blogger since 2006 writing personal essays, book reviews, and general thoughts about reading. I thought it was time to write and invite conversation about library and information issues.

I can be found on Twitter and LinkedIn. I write posts for News & Events at the Darling Library. I also write about books and reading at Terri Talks Books and write personal essays at Tip of the Iceberg.
